ESTROGEN SIGNALING: ERBB2 HANGS IN THE BALANCE

The sensitivity of breast cancer tumors to tamoxifen depends upon
the inhibition and activation of ERBB2 gene expression, which is
controlled by the competitive binding of PAX2 and AIB-1 to a
cis-regulatory element.

Lcmt2
http://ealerts.nature.com/cgi-bin24/DM/y/eo7Y0Xztnp0H2W0CCoQ0En

Leucine carboxyl methyltransferase-2 (LCMT-2) is a homolog of LCMT-1,
which catalyzes reversible carboxyl methylation of protein
phosphatase 2A (PP2A). Although LCMT-2 is highly similar to LCMT-1,
existing data from yeast studies suggest that LCMT-2 may not be a
PP2A methyltransferase. The yeast homolog of LCMT-2 was recently
shown to be involved in the biosynthesis of wybutosine, a modified
nucleoside in yeast phenylalanine tRNA.
