ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Abstract submission deadline: April 16, 2010 Abstracts are currently invited for oral and poster presentation at the conference. Please submit abstracts using the Online Submission Form by April 16, 2010 according to the abstract preparation guidelines.

All abstracts will be refereed and a criterion of rejection will be lack of originality. A condition of submission is that, if accepted, the paper will be presented at the conference by one of the authors.

SCOPE AND TOPICS

Successfully submitted abstracts will be acknowledged with an electronic receipt including an abstract reference number, which should be quoted in all correspondence. Allow at least 2 hours for your receipt to be returned to you.

Current Opinion in Cellular Host-Pathogen Interactions is the first of a series of Current Opinion in Cell Biology congresses, bringing together the leading figures and the hottest topics in cell biology. The programme comprises keynote and invited speakers drawn from the Editors-in-Chief, Editorial Board, Guest Editors and Review Authors of Current Opinion in Cell Biology. In addition, oral and poster presentations of original research are sought addressing the following themes:

  • Life cycle of pathogens (viruses, bacteria and unicellular eukaryotes)
  • Strategies used by pathogens to invade organisms and cells
  • Mechanisms that allow pathogens to survive within organisms and cells
  • Strategies used by pathogens to spread throughout the organism
  • Host defense against pathogens

CURRENT OPINION CONFERENCES

Current Opinion in Cellular Host-Pathogen Interactions is the first in a new series of Current Opinion conferences. These events aim to build on the pre-eminent reputation of the Current Opinion journals, by providing a new level of direct interaction between the leaders and future leaders in key scientific fields. Each ground-breaking conference will feature extended discussion periods and dedicated networking sessions, along with high profile keynote lectures and invited speaker sessions on the hottest topics in the field. The conference experience won't end with the closing remarks. Delegates have the option to sign up to an ongoing online conference, where they can watch lectures they missed or just revisit their favourite presentations.
