== IN THE SKY THIS WEEK ==
The full Moon is Friday April 10. On Monday April 13 the Moon is very close to the bright red star Antares. Saturn is still excellent viewing and can be easily seen as the second brightest object above the north-eastern horizon. It is about a third of the way between the bright stars Regulus and Spica, just near the star beta Leonis. Saturn's rings are edge on, which will not occur again for another 14 years. Jupiter dominates the early morning, with Mars and Venus below it. Venus rapidly rises towards Mars as the week progresses. If you are an early riser, with a small telescope or a set of good quality binoculars Jupiter's moons are readily visible, and you can also see Venus as a dramatic crescent.
