Autologous Adipose Stem Cells for Multiple Sclerosis

View this message online Hello manoj kumar valluru, As we all saw, Geron had a great week with approval of the first ever IND covering an embryonic stem cell based product.  We will let our friend Lee Buckler give you all the details in his blog. An interesting news report that seemed to be getting attention is the treatment of a Texas police officer with autologous adipose derived stem cells for multiple sclerosis.  Although numerous preclinical and clinical trials are using expanded mesenchymals for autoimmunity, this seems to be the first use of adipose mononuclear cells that have not been expanded.  From the news report it stated the procedure was performed outside of the United States.
