Major step forward in understanding cell reprogramming

In case you missed the breaking news story on HarvardScience, we wanted to bring it to your attention.

In a paper released online today by the journal Cell Stem Cell, Konrad Hochedlinger, HSCI Principal Faculty member, and an assistant professor in Harvard's new inter-school Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology, and colleagues report that they have discovered how long adult cells need to be exposed to reprogramming factors before they convert to an embryonic-like state, and have "defined the sequence of events that occur during reprogramming."
