"Stem Cells at the Dome"

Dear Colleague,

 

There is a limited amount of time remaining for you to register under the great value Early Bird registration rates and submit your abstract for oral consideration.

 

The Early Bird registration rate will expire on Friday 21st August 2009. To take advantage of the discounts offered by registering early, please ensure you have completed the online process by this date.

 

Oral abstract submissions will also be closing on Friday 21st August 2009. If you would like to submit an abstract for oral consideration at this year's meeting you must submit it via the online abstract submission system by this date.

 

There are a number of places in the program for oral presentations taken from submitted abstracts.

 

Poster abstract submissions will remain open until Friday the 23rd October 2009.

 

The Poster Session will allow for all presenters to discuss their research and be eligible for a Poster Prize. Presenters will be given time to discuss the research described in their poster.

Senior Group Leader at A*STAR Genomics Institute, Singapore, his research asks "what is a stem cell?" by studying the transcriptional and epigenetic states of pluripotent cells and somatic cells that become pluripotent or iPS cells.

For greater participation there is a session solely dedicated to 'late-breaking' research from abstract submissions, including novel results or new perspectives, discussion of methods, questioning of dogma or translational research.

 

Lastly, there will be commercial presentations, including James Liu from Invitrogen discussing 'The Advanced Tools for iPSC Research'.

 

Social Events

We are happy to announce the following social events which will provide a great opportunity to network amongst other delegates.

ASSCR Conference Awards

ASSCR members who are a student or Post-doc (up to 5 years after PhD) may apply for funds to assist with attendance to the ASSCR 2nd Annual Meeting

 

Award candidates will be selected from submitted abstracts and travel scholarship will be awarded depending on the financial need. For further information on how to apply, email info@asscr.org.
