What if you could gain a clear view of the genomic aberrations that
matter?

Agilent SurePrint G3 CGH/CNV microarrays are designed from the
largest database of probes spanning all regions of the genome
including complex regions, and offer the flexibility to incorporate
user-defined CNVs. Use DNA microarrays from Agilent, and start mapping
the variants that count. Learn more at

Special Issue on Gene Therapy for Chronic Pain
Guest Editors: Joseph Glorioso and David Fink
Volume 16 Number 4

Chronic pain is a significant medical problem. Recent studies suggest
that employing gene transfer to release neuroactive peptides at targeted
sites in the pain pathway may be an effective means to reduce pain, while
avoiding off-target side effects that limit pharmacologic treatment. This
issue surveys results from preclinical animal studies using several
different vector technologies, and describes the first clinical trial of
gene transfer for the treatment of pain using an HSV-based vector that
began enrolling patients in December 2008.
