Endometrial Regenerative Cells Inhibiting Glioma

View this message online Hello manoj kumar valluru, As you may know, there are conflicting results about the use of stem cells for treatment of cancer.  While no one will argue that hematopoietic stem cell transplantation has allowed previously unattainable doses of cytotoxics to be used, many will argue whether mesenchymal stem cells, or other types of stem cells inhibit or augment cancer growth and progression.  A paper was published last week describing the menstrual blood derived, Endometrial Regenerative Cells (ERC), actually inhibiting growth AND angiogenesis of glioma in a rat model.
