Bourdieu and translational stem cell research
Professor Steven Wainwright
Professor Steven Wainwright, co-director of the Centre for Biomedicine and Society at King's College, London, will be visiting the School of History and Philosophy at UNSW in December 2008.
Professor Wainwright is a medical sociologist specialising in the social relations of the laboratory and the clinic of embryonic stem cell research. He has a particular interest in the interactions between the bench and the bedside in diabetes research.
This will be held in RM 308B of the Morven Brown Building at the University of New South Wales at 12 pm.
