Stimulating Angiogenesis by Caloric Restriction

View this message online Hello manoj kumar valluru, Last week a paper was published describing pro-angiogenic effects of caloric restriction.  The effects were mediated by adiponectin since mice lacking adiponectin did not have an enhanced angiogenic response.  Given the correlation between caloric restriction and longevity, as well as the possible relationship between stem cell number and longevity, it would be interesting to see if their is a relationship between caloric restriction and stem cell activity.
