== IN THE SKY THIS WEEK ==
The last quarter Moon is Tuesday 21 October. Venus is easily seen high in the early evening sky below the head of the constellation of the scorpion. On Monday October 20 and Tuesday October 21 Venus will be very close to the bright star delta Scorpii, in the head of the scorpion. Jupiter is high in the western evening sky above the constellation of the scorpion. The sight of this magnificent constellation framed by the two brightest planets is very lovely indeed. Saturn can be seen low in the north-eastern morning sky just before dawn. Mercury has returned to the morning sky, but will be very difficult to see even with a flat, clear eastern horizon.
