The First Quarter Moon is Tuesday 10 June. Saturn can be seen near the bright star Regulus high in the northern sky. During the week Mars moves towards Saturn and Regulus. On Sunday 8 June the Crescent Moon is near Mars. On Monday 9 June the Moon is close to Regulus and Saturn. Jupiter can be seen as the brightest object above the eastern horizon in the evening, and its moons look great in binoculars. Comet Boattini can be seen easily in the early evening sky through binoculars as a distinct fuzzy ball.

The Business Leaders' Forum held a climate summit at Parliament House in Canberra. They heard startling suggestions from Tim Flannery about shielding the sun with sulphates and about helping the poor from Tim Costello. The Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, announced targets for government office to reach to save carbon emissions. Alexandra de Blas reports on the highlights of the forum. Also: with the centenary of the model T Ford approaching, what can we learn from the revolution in transport and manufacturing it brought?

Polish-born Sabina Wolanski, now 80, was a teenager when her entire family was killed by Nazis, and was the sole Holocaust survivor to speak at the launch of the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. Russian-born Maria Tumarkin came to Australia as a teenager in the '80s. Her new book unearths courage in the crevices of everyday life, and she's defiantly not interested in heroes. They join Natasha Mitchell in an intimate exchange about brave minds.

This week, the Philosopher's Zone looks at a couple of current, public ethical issues. It's said that the photographer Bill Henson, whose images were recently seized by the police, didn't intend to produce pornography. Does this mean that the images in question can't be pornography? What is it that makes art art? And the ethics of tuberculosis, with ethical messages for funding bodies, health care professionals and also for people with the disease.

OCKHAM'S RAZOR - Abrolhos birds.

Discovered by Portuguese Commander de Houtman in 1619 the Abrolhos Islands are 60 kilometers off Geraldton on the Western Australian coast. This was where the second oldest shipwreck in Australia, the Batavia came to grief in 1629. Today author and keen birdwatcher Sue Taylor from Melbourne takes us on a tour of these islands in her quest to see nesting seabirds some of which she has never seen before.

HEALTH REPORT – Gap kids

This is a feature about children with a developmental language disorder. They struggle to create speech and interpret what is being said to them. These children often fall in the gap between state and federal health and education departments. However, good therapy would make a huge difference to their lives.

IN CONVERSATION - The father of radio astronomy

The late Grote Reber is recognised as both the father of radio astronomy and the first person to build a big dish telescope to explore the cosmos. The American moved from his home in the USA to Tasmania in the 1950s and assisted this country to establish a lead in the field. Now a museum has been opened by the University of Tasmania to commemorate his work and David Fisher takes us on a tour with astronomer Professor John Dickey.
