Doctors' group shifts to neutral on stem cells
Medical society won't back proposed ballot issue to allow research.

After five years of supporting embryonic stem cell research, the
Michigan State Medical Society changed its policy Sunday to a neutral
position on the controversial issue that may appear on the November
ballot.
