[StemCells] Autism, Stem Cells, & Costa Rica or China

***WARNING*** Most are SCAMS. a group member, Ruby, died after going
off-shore. The 'stem cells' used here are of questionable quality -
often not human, and if so, of research - not therapeutic - quality
(e.g. have impurities).

For example: If it's Medistem ... there's a reason they are doing
the work in Costa Rica and not Arizona (where they are established) -
perhaps this will help:

http://www.translational-medicine.com/content/pdf/1479-5876-5-30.pdf
looks legit - until you consider:

WRT Medistem/Institute for Cellular Medicine: "This Riordan guy is a
fraud. He claims to have earned a Ph.D. from the Medical University
of the Americas (on the Island of Nevis), but after calling the
university it was CONFIRMED that the University has NEVER granted nor
OFFERED a Ph.D. degree in its history. Interesting, if the University
does NOT offer a Ph.D. degree how then is it that Neil claims to have
a Ph.D. from this institution?

The CRAP that they are selling as Stem Cell Therapy in Costa Rica is
just amazing ... and if they tried this stuff in the USA, Canada,
E.U. (etc...) they would be arrested on the spot. They have NO
clinical or scientific data to even support what they are injecting
into patients"

If they ARE legit - wait until their clinical trials they suggest
here in the US

Then, there's the The Steenblock Research Institute - located in CA,
but apparently can't do business there so works out of Costa Rica.
http://www.stemcelltherapies.org. David Steenblock, D.O. has been
sited many times for violations while heading The Brain Cell
Therapeutic Clinic; his references are overblown - as were the doors
of his hyperbolic chamber, injuring 3 patients.

Let's not forget: "ACT, previously been known as Biomark, a US
company investigated by the FDA & FBI, accused of making false claims
about stem cells, and fraud to the tune of 1.2 million dollars."

I could go on and on and on ...

I've read NO CREDIBLE EVIDENCE stem cells can treat autism spectrum
disorders ...

All that said, IF I had to choose between China & Costa Rica, I'd
pick China. There are lots of reports of people coming back
satisfied (but I don't know the names of those clinics).

What are the names of the clinics? Off-shore implies fraud. Find
out EVERYTHING about them, the treatment, etc. before putting him in
their hands. Websites, blog references, and press releases aren't
enough. The 'reference' you can check could be their partner.

Remember: You wouldn't just trust anyone to babysit, these people
can destroy your child's chances of ever getting the earliest
treatments - and worse still, they can kill him.
