The GKSS Research Centre is located in Geesthacht near Hamburg,
Germany, with a further centre in Teltow near Berlin, and is a member
of the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres. With its
approximately 700 employees it undertakes, in collaboration with
universities and industry, research and development in the areas of
coastal research, materials research, regenerative medicine, and
structure research with neutrons and synchrotron radiation.
The Centre for Biomaterial Development of the Institute of Polymer
Research of the GKSS in Teltow is seeking a

Scientist (Postdoc) in Pharmaceutical Technology
Code-No. P 22

for joined activities with the Berlin-Brandenburg Centre for
Regenerative Therapies (BCRT). This is initially a 3-years fixed term
contract.

You will develop a method for the encapsulation of drugs and proteins
in the course of developing a drug release system. Thereby, you will
closely collaborate with internal and external partners. Furthermore,
you will actively participate in and seek new opportunities for
publications, patents, and funding for future projects.

You successfully completed your studies in pharmacy, chemistry, or
likewise with a Ph.D. and have broad knowledge in micro- or
nanoencapsulation. Moreover, experience in the handling of proteins,
with drug release system or chromatographic methods will be
beneficial. Applicants with a strong interest in tissue engineering
applications and biomaterials are especially welcome. You will work
in an interdisciplinary team with chemists, material engineers,
biologists, and scientists in the field of regenerative medicine. You
are speaking English fluently and can document your scientific
experience with publications.
