Use of feeders in maintenance of hES cells is labor intensive and technically challenging and is undesirable due to their undefined nature. In this webinar, we will discuss StemCell Technologies' mTeSR™1 and BD Biosciences' BD Matrigel™ hESC-qualified Matrix, which together provide a complete environment for the feeder-independent culture and maintenance of hES cells. Cells cultured in this environment exhibit undifferentiated morphology, consistently high expression of pluripotency markers and karyotypic stability as well as the ability to differentiate into endoderm, mesoderm and ectoderm as demonstrated in the teratoma assay. First-time users must download Web Meeting software in advance of the session. Information available upon registration. | | | |
