BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Harvard Stem Cell Institute, Genetics Policy Institute, and Burrill Life Sciences Media Group, a joint venture of Nielsen Business Media and Burrill & Company, will host a landmark event focusing on the future of stem cell research and its potential to advance treatments for millions suffering from devastating medical conditions.
Announcing a stellar line-up of scientific and policy leaders participating in the event and a unique conference agenda, The Stem Cell Summit will illuminate the complex, but fascinating, implications of this cutting-edge biotechnology. The agenda includes breakout sessions where researchers and patients will have a chance to speak with leading scientists and policy makers about the ways in which stem cell research may impact the quest for cures. Sessions will focus on diabetes, cancer, spinal cord injury and paralysis, cardiovascular disease, aging and Parkinson?s, ALS and neurological disorders.
The summit will feature the Conversations with Expert?s Luncheon where leading experts join conference delegates for in depth discussions on all aspects of business, law, research, ethics and policy. In addition, the Patient Advocates Roundtable Breakfast will provide a forum on how the stem cell debates are changing the current political landscape.
Other unique aspects of the program include The Hospital Perspective - The HSCI Case Study, and special panels on investment, biotechnology and global collaboration. A large exhibit hall will feature displays from business, research centers and country and state pavilions.
