31. CORD BLOOD REGISTRY: www.cordblood.com

Giving Families hope for a longer Healthier life. We see a day when saving newborn stem cells will be a routine practice and stem cell therapy will be the first line treatment for many of today's incurable diseases and injuries.

Today we are creating a standard of practice where all families are empowered with information on the value of newborn stem cells and provided with an informed choice. Our primary responsibility is to serve the families that have chosen us to be partner in their future health. We are committed to the families that have entrusted us with their newborn's stem cells and provide the protection and piece of mind that comes from a relentless focus on quality and innovation in all we do. Our business and operating principles are built on the highest standards of integrity in contributing to the best interests of our families, our caregivers, our employees and our communities.

Our laboratory, in affiliation with the University of Arizona, Tucson, has been processing and storing cord blood since 1992 and was the first family cord blood stem cell bank in the world. It was initially established as a pilot program partially sponsored by the American Cancer Society and the University of Arizona using technology pioneered by Dr. David T. Harris, professor of microbiology and immunology at the University.

We own our state-of-the-art laboratory where the cord blood stem cells are processed, tested, and stored. As part of CBR’s CellAdvantage™ System, our automated processing technology delivers the highest published stem cell recovery rate in the industry – 99 percent, which means CBR saves more stem cells for families. We also take full responsibility to ensure that the processing, quality-control, and quality-assurance metrics are in accordance with FDA guidelines and the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) accreditation. In addition, we are licensed in the states of New York and New Jersey (the only states requiring special licensing).

Interested in joining the CBR team? Send your cover letter and resume to careers@cordblood.com. Attachments will not be opened, so remember to cut and paste your inquiries into the body of your email.
